About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Service Centre Manager to join our friendly, close-knit team. This exciting role will be responsible for managing the daily operations and performance of the Milwaukee Service Centre in Penrose, Auckland, and to ensure a customer centric approach is adopted that meet agreed quality, cost, and performance metrics.

Reporting directly to the Aftersales Manager you will be leading a high performing team of Service Technicians and Service Centre Administrators.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading, managing and developing the Auckland Service Centre offering to provide an industry best practice repair and after sales services.
  • Providing high level technical support to technicians in the assessment of root cause failure analysis.
  • Ensuring appropriate performance standards are maintained.
  • Analysis and reporting of performance against SLAs, KPIs / and other metrics.
  • Use data to make meaningful decisions about resources and capacity.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with all Milwaukee employees
  • Continually review the service centre and identify opportunities for continuous improvement to keep pace with changing end user requirements and expectations.
  • Providing technical support and input in the development of training courses for new products, as well as repair & technical communications to the outsourced repair network.
  • Supporting the reworking of product when required.

Skills and Experience required for this role :

  • 10 years relevant industry / technical experience
  • Hands-on experience within a service and repair environment in an industrial or similar industry and previous management of warranty and service operations / systems would be advantageous.
  • Previous people management experience is required.
  • The ability to drive / influence positive change across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and exceptional interpersonal skills with the capacity to manage relationships.
  • Ability to be a team player, as well as work autonomously.
  • Process driven with strong analytical skills.
  • Proven experience of handling customer objections
  • The drive to strive for greater levels of effectiveness and efficiency.
