Are you a seasoned operations leader with a passion for people, performance, and purpose?
Ngai Tahu Seafood is seeking a Plant Manager to lead our Christchurch lobster processing plant on a fixed-term basis.
This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while fostering a culturally confident and high-performing team.
Youll be at the heart of our mission to manage fisheries assets sustainably, contributing to the long-term prosperity of Ngai Tahu whanui - Mo tatou, a, mo ka uri a muri ake nei (for us and our children after us).
Oversee day-to-day plant operations, ensuring optimal resource use and compliance.
Lead and develop a motivated, multi-skilled team.
Manage health & safety, fleet, and financial performance.
Champion Ngai Tahu values and cultural confidence in the workplace.
Ensure regulatory compliance across MPI, RMP, and Worksafe NZ frameworks.
3-5 years' experience managing a processing plant with up to 20 staff.
Proven leadership and operational management skills.
Strong understanding of compliance, health & safety, and preventative maintenance.
Cultural awareness and a commitment to Ngai Tahu values.
A collaborative, customer-focused mindset and strategic thinking.
National Certificate in Seafood Processing (Level 3 / 4)
Fisheries Compliance Unit Standards (16562, 19517, 19518)
Health & Safety Representative Level 2
