Job description

What you’ll do :

  • Understanding the drivers of scheme performance and Claims performance problems / issues
  • Designing and developing key performance metrics utilising internal and external data and research, to drive best in class claims management
  • Maintain understanding of scheme performance through operational performance & Actuarial lenses, and changes in day-to-day claims & injury management process via close contact with the respective Claims teams
  • Provide monthly insights about claims performance within and across schemes, including internal and external factors and trends impacting claims performance
  • Provide analysis of claims value chain to ensure Claims business are working towards best in class in order to meet scorecard / business goals
  • Working closely with the Claims business to identify poor performing segments or parts of the value chain that warrant a deeper investigation of drivers of performance
  • Conduct deep dive investigations, keeping in mind the various scheme nuances which can limit the levers available to the Claims business to utilise.

What you’ll bring :

  • Degree in Actuary, Statistics, Business, Commerce, or another relevant field - mandatory
  • Demonstrated experience in data analytics, biostatistics, actuarial, business and industry fields
  • Strike a balance between critical thinking and actual hands-on analysis using tools and packages such as SAS, SQL, Tableau etc to provide insightful analysis
  • Developed general insurance and claims knowledge
