Industrial Spray Painter

Description

Supercut Engineering Limited based in Auckland is a well-equipped steel structural facility offering a range of structural engineering services all around New Zealand.

We are looking for five industrial spray painters to join our awesome team.

You will be expected to work at the company's premises in Onehunga, Auckland, and may also be directed to work at other sites within the Auckland region.

This job requires you to work a minimum of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday as normal hours of work, and you may also be required to work on Saturday as well.

Job Description for This Position

Grinding, sanding and cleaning surfaces of items to be painted.

Loading paint, oil, lacquer, varnish and rustproofing agents into spray equipment.

Connecting hoses to spray equipment and adjusting spray nozzles to required pressure.

Securing items to be sprayed within spray booths or placing them onto conveyors.

Directing spray guns to apply even coatings.

Moving items to drying areas and stacking them for further painting and packaging.

Starting and monitoring extractor and drying fans, and heaters.

Cleaning nozzles, containers, and hoses of equipment.

May operate paint dipping baths.

May mix coating solutions and regulate their temperature.

Key Requirements for Successful Applicants

At least two years' relevant work experience in industrial painting is required

Relevant qualifications or certificate is a bonus.

Must be punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude for this role.

Be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting.

A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress.

Able to work with deadlines and schedules, and available to work weekends if required.
