About the role

As head of mathematics, you'll guide teaching and learning across Y7–13, ensuring a high-quality, engaging and future-focused curriculum.

You'll work alongside a committed team, leading curriculum design, assessment, and professional growth — all while supporting great outcomes for students.

Key responsibilities include :

Leading curriculum planning, assessment, and moderation

Supporting staff development and collaboration

Analysing data to drive improvement and celebrate success

Overseeing budgeting, resources, and faculty operations

Contributing to school-wide initiatives and strategic goals.

About you

You'll be an engaging classroom practitioner with strong curriculum knowledge and a genuine passion for mathematics education.

You'll bring :

Proven teaching experience with positive student outcomes

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

A collaborative, reflective approach to leadership

Commitment to continuous improvement and school values

Current New Zealand Teaching Registration.
