Locum cover is required for :
- Week commencing 29 September 2025 | Up to 10 sessions scheduled throughout the week, covering both Planned and Acute Care.
- 6 - 7 October 2025 | 4 sessions PPC
- Week of 14 October 2025 | 8 sessions across the week PPC
- 8 - 9 November 2025 | Weekend GP on-call
- 10 - 14 November 2025 | PPC sessions across the following week
- Week of 17 November 2025 | PPC 8 - 10 sessions across the week
- Week of 1 December 2025 | PPC 6 - 8 sessions across the week
- Week of 8 December 2025 | 10 sessions across the week, a mix of PPC and UPC. Optional GP on-call for the weekend of 13–14 December.
- Week of 15 December 2025 | 10 sessions PPC plus UPC across the week
- Christmas week of 2025 | 2 PPC Monday, UPC Tues / Wed
- New Year week of 2026 | 6 PPC sessions and 6 UPC sessions across the week. Optional GP on-call for the weekend of 3 - 4 January.
- Also looking for cover for leave throughout January 2026 with a mix of UPC and PPC sessions
This medical centre is based within the largest town within the West Coast in the South Island of New Zealand. The centre is a busy GP clinic with a patient base close to 5750.
Location Information
The nearest domestic airport is 39 km from the medical centre and serviced by direct, 45-minute flights from Christchurch. The airport offers an extensive range of car rental options as well as a direct shuttle service from the airport to the town where the hospital is based.
For those who are driving please note that the town is a 3.5 hour drive from Christchurch and 9 hours from Invercargill.
