About the Role
The IT Trainer is responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of IT training materials and sessions across multiple platforms. This role focuses on enhancing digital literacy and proficiency in agreed applications within Health NZ. Working closely with Digital Operations and other key stakeholders, the IT Trainer ensures timely and effective knowledge transfer and skills development to support the organisation's digital capabilities and objectives.
About the Team / Service / Location
The IT Trainer sits within the Digital Workspace team, which is part of the Digital Operations function under the wider Digital Services Group. Reporting to the Group Manager Digital Workspace, this team is dedicated to enhancing digital skills and improving user adoption of key applications across Health NZ. The team focuses on delivering effective training and knowledge transfer to empower staff with the necessary digital literacy to work confidently and efficiently. The broader Digital Operations group, often recognised as Infrastructure & Operations, is responsible for operating, optimising, and modernising Health NZ's critical national digital infrastructure. Digital Operations plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of digital systems and services across public hospitals, with a core mission to support critical clinical and administrative systems. The group also serves Community, Consumer, and Corporate stakeholders through its wider digital enablement goals.
About you
You are an experienced ICT professional with a strong background in developing, coordinating, and delivering IT training across various platforms. You bring a passion for enhancing digital literacy and empowering users to confidently adopt technology solutions. With a collaborative approach, you work effectively with stakeholders to provide timely knowledge transfer and skills development that supports organisational goals. You are dedicated to creating engaging and practical training experiences that drive user proficiency and continuous learning.
