Position : Home Grown Kids Christchurch - visiting teacher

Hours : 8.30am–4.30pm Monday – Friday / on call or licensed hours

Location : Working from home - with travel within the region up to two hours.

Relationships with our people and tamariki / whānau are at the heart of our organisation and leading from the heart is what we do. We are always striving for positive experiences for all our people, forming exceptionally positive relationships, embedding regulations in a range of learning spaces and supporting educators to be their very best for our tamariki, with whānau involvement.

You’ll be self-motivated to work within a network of educators, facilitate playgroups, outings, and onboarding of new educators.

What are we looking for?

Experience in the home based sector preferred, or a willingness to accept a new challenge

A recognised NZ ECE teaching qualification and a current full NZ Practising Certificate

Experience mentoring and leading adults

Social Intelligence – ability to read a room

Self-motivation and a positive focused approach

Sound planning and organisational skills

Excellent verbal, written and online communication skills

A current first aid certificate and a clean full NZ driver’s license

Futuristic, proactive and a growth mindset

People skills that are kind, culturally sensitive, caring, understanding and diverse
