With a vibrant atmosphere and an unwavering commitment to our values positivity, respect, responsibility, and above and beyond—we're passionate about creating a team full of outstanding individuals who are as passionate about shaping the future as we are.Te Unua Museum of Southland is seeking an organised and proactive Arts, Culture and Heritage Administrator to support the delivery of vibrant cultural programmes and heritage initiatives across Invercargill.This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of Te Unua - a new, landmark cultural destination; and to help shape the cultural landscape of our city and region through high-quality administrative support, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination.What you will do : Provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support for Museum and Heritage Services.Support the creation of key planning documents and reports relating to Invercargill City Council's arts, culture and heritage activities.Coordinate bookings, managing correspondence and customer enquiries, maintaining records and systems and supporting financial processes.Assist with project delivery activities, and stakeholder and community engagement initiatives.What you will bring : A tertiary qualification in History, Arts or a related discipline (Museum Studies desirable).3-5 years' experience in a similar administrative role.Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.Financial literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with meeting procedures and minute-taking.A passion for heritage and the arts and delivering community-focused outcomes.What we offer : Career progression and training / development opportunitiesPositive focus of employee health and well-being : Workstation assessments, free flu vaccines, EAP services, 50% off eye exams, discounted gym memberships etcKiwisaver and Superannuation SchemesAccess to sick leave from day one of employmentAppointment time leave : Up to 2 hours for important appointments e.g. Doctor, bank, dentistThis is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, primarily 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, although flexibility to work outside of these hours is required.Waihopai Invercargill is New Zealand's southernmost city and the heart and hub of Southland.
