Overview

Our System Operator supports the wholesale electricity market and power system security in real time. The Power Systems group provides power system analysis, engineering, risk and assurance management to enable Transpower to meet principal performance obligations. The Engineering Assurance team focuses on providing commissioning and testing guidance to Asset Owners to confirm asset performance against Code obligations and power system requirements.

Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton or Christchurch. Join a team that collaborates with electricity industry participants to understand asset performance against obligations and study future power system risks and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support the Engineering Assurance team to guide participants on their compliance with the Electricity Industry Participation Code, particularly generation asset owners, and manage System Operator interactions with commissioning and testing assets; investigate power system events as needed.
• Develop and support engineers within the Group by participating in and leading training and coaching to uplift technical and behavioural capabilities.
