Overview
New World Wanaka is looking for motivated and capable Grocery Managers to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy Grocery Department.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help drive team performance, maintain high merchandising standards, and ensure our customers enjoy a top-quality shopping experience every time.

Key Responsibilities
Managing the daily operations of the Grocery Department
Working closely alongside the team to ensure smooth and efficient workflows
Help manage stock ordering, promotional planning, and inventory control
Maintain high standards in merchandising, presentation, and product availability
Assist with rostering and staff scheduling
Build strong relationships with suppliers and team members
Participate in stocktakes and reporting using in-store systems
Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge
You will be able to demonstrate the following attributes

The successful applicant will have
A minimum of five years retail experience
A minimum of five years customer service experience
Tertiary education to bachelor or equivalent level
Hands on experience with New Zealand Food safety and Health and Safety practices in a supermarket environment
A good understanding of supermarket financial KPI's
Sound SAP and Excel capabilities
Current forklift license or willing to obtain one
These are permanent full-time roles.
Remuneration will be between $28 - $32 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.
You will need to be available in weekends.
Reporting to the Store Manager.
