As a Principal Consultant, you will support in leading the delivery of Azure Data & AI solutions.

You will set solution direction, mentor other consultants, and work with NZ-based leaders to ensure quality outcomes for enterprise and public-sector engagements.

About you : You will have proven experience (5+ years preferred) across the Azure data stack and have ambitions to work as a senior consultant.

Bonus for Snowflake experience.

You will have strong knowledge and demonstrable experience in modern data platform engineering tools and techniques.

Experience in AI development or a desire to learn.

Must have skills and experience

Expert knowledge of SQL in a data warehouse context, applying the Kimball methodology and other design patterns.

Comfortable building and optimising data pipelines and data flows using Azure Data Factory, including auditing and error handling.

Comprehensive Data Engineering Skills : Expertise in data modelling, data processing (ETL / ELT), data integration, unstructured data, security, and governance using Azure services.

Working knowledge of Power-BI and data visualisation best practices.

Familiar with standard development lifecycle using source control tools such as GitHub or Azure Repos with multiple branching strategies.

Sound analytical and design skills : ability to turn end user requirements into technical solution designs.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives, and both agile and waterfall methodologies.

Team player : you will be tasked to design and deliver solutions to clients in cross-functional teams.

Solution orientated, with a positive, can-do attitude and an ability to work under pressure.

Bonus skills and experience

Web application development using a JS framework such as React

Snowflake

Proficient with Power Query M formula language and / or DAX

Familiarity with Python and / or R
