This role is all about helping people through the unexpected.

You'll be working closely with customers, assessors, and internal teams to manage and resolve claims - especially during natural disaster events.

Your day-to-day would look like :

Responding to claims inquiries via phone, mail, or online

Managing claims end-to-end, ensuring timely resolution and settlement

Providing regular updates to customers in line with Fair Insurance Code requirements

Escalating complex or sensitive claims appropriately

Identifying and escalating potentially fraudulent claims

Collaborating with preferred suppliers and ensuring service standards are met

Following Toka Tu Ake Natural Hazards Commission (NHC) guidelines for NHCover claims

Supporting customers through challenging and sensitive situations

Working from our Auckland office, with flexibility depending on event response needs

To thrive in this role, you'll ideally bring :

We value experience, and the following backgrounds can be helpful :

House and contents claims (3+ years)

Complex or large event claims

NHC claims, including land claims
