What you will be doing
As a key member of our Event Response Team, you\'ll be on the frontline of supporting New Zealanders impacted by weather events and natural disasters.
You\'ll deliver fast, fair, and empathetic claims experiences for customers of Tower and the Toka Tu Ake Natural Hazards Commission (NHC).
From floods and storms to landslips and earthquakes, you\'ll guide customers through the claims process - helping them get back on their feet when it matters most.
Respond to claims via phone, email, or online - quickly identifying needs and providing clear, compassionate support.Manage and resolve claims efficiently, in line with the Fair Insurance Code (FIC).
Keep customers informed every step of the way - from first contact to final settlement / decision.Ensure fast, fair outcomes by working closely with assessors, investigators, and suppliers.Manage complaints with professionalism and empathy, turning challenges into opportunities for positive outcomes.Escalate complex or sensitive claims to senior team members when needed.Follow Toka Tu Ake Natural Hazards Commission (NHC) guidelines for natural hazard claims, including land-related issues.Be alert to potential fraud and help protect the integrity of our claims process.
What you\'ll need
3+ years of experience working in the insurance sector, specifically managing house and contents claims.Experience with complex or large event claims (preferred).
Strong and recent working knowledge of NHC claim processes is essential, including land claims (preferred).
Background in a contact centre or high-demand environment (preferred).
A calm, empathetic approach and a passion for helping people.
