This position is based at Tauranga Hospital, a 359 bed Level 2 hospital, and will include elective work.

There is the opportunity to also undertake planned care in your subspecialist area of practice at Whakatane Hospital which is a smaller level 2 hospital an hour south of Tauranga.Tauranga Hospital runs a busy acute general medical service with support from resident specialists in Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, Geriatrics, Oncology, Haematology and Renal services.About the Team / Service / LocationThe successful candidate will join a department of Physicians who share general medical responsibilities and will lead a team which includes a registrar and a house officer.

The role includes participation in acute medical assessment, admission and on call roster.
