Location : 106 Waimairi Road, Ilam, Christchurch

Contract Type : Independent Contractor Only (NOT an employment position)

Hours : 4–6 cleans per month, approx. 2–3 hours per clean

Timing : Mostly weekend mornings (flexible within agreed time windows)

The University of Canterbury Rugby Football Club (UCRFC) is seeking a dependable independent cleaning contractor to provide cleaning services for our clubrooms. This is not an employee role — we are looking for a self-employed contractor who can invoice the club for services provided.

Our clubrooms are a well-used community facility supporting players, supporters, visiting teams, and regular venue hires. Keeping the space clean and presentable is essential for club operations throughout the year.

About the Contracted Work

We require a contractor who can deliver high-quality cleaning services 4–6 times per month, depending on club and event usage. Most work will take place on Saturday or Sunday mornings, with occasional additional cleans after larger functions.

Each session typically requires 2–3 hours, depending on the condition of the facility.

This is a service contract, and the contractor will invoice UCRFC for completed cleans. Rates are negotiable with the successful provider.

Scope of Cleaning Services

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks :

Main Clubroom Areas

• Vacuuming the lounges and bar spaces
• Wiping down tables, bar leaners, chairs, and stools
• Collecting and removing rubbish and recycling
• General tidying and resetting the space

Kitchen

Toilets

Entrance & Hallways

All cleaning products and equipment are provided by UCRFC, although contractors may use their own equipment if preferred.
