As the Regulatory and Compliance Specialist you'll be the go-to expert on all things regulatory and compliance related.

You'll ensure that every ZIWI product, ingredient, and manufacturing process meets the right standards — no matter where in the world it's heading.

This isn't just a back-office compliance role.

It's a hands-on, cross-functional, and high-impact position where you'll work closely with R&D, Quality, Marketing, and Operations to :

Responsibilities

Guide innovation projects through market access requirements.

Review new ingredients and labelling to ensure compliance across global markets.

Oversee product registrations, site approvals, and export documentation, as well as customer and government documentation when required.

Coordinate corrective actions, internal audit and continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain certifications like SQF and HACCP.

Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities and certification bodies.

Monitor emerging regulatory changes and advise the business on risks or opportunities.

You'll be balancing strategic input with day-to-day execution, so it's ideal for someone who loves variety, takes ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where every day is different.

Key requirements

A tertiary qualification in science, food technology, or a related field.

5+ years' experience in regulatory, compliance, or food quality (pet or human).

A strong understanding of international market access and regulatory requirements.

A proactive mindset — you're a people-person, a problem solver, a great communicator, and someone who knows how to navigate complexity without losing sight of the big picture.
