Future pathways coordinator

St Hilda's Collegiate is a state integrated, Y7-13 Anglican girls’ school with a proud heritage in Ōtepōti of excellent education and high quality facilities.

St Hilda's is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced future pathways coordinator to join our team in a permanent, part-time capacity.

In this vital role, you'll empower ākonga to make informed decisions about their post-school journey. You'll integrate comprehensive careers guidance with the administration of vocational programs like Gateway and STAR.

Key responsibilities :

• Curriculum integration : Work with Heads of Department to embed careers advice and future-focused planning into the school curriculum.
• Student support : Provide personalized advice on subject selection and diverse career pathways, including tertiary education, vocational trades, apprenticeships, and the workforce.
• Program management : Administer the enrolment of students into appropriate STAR short courses and Gateway programs.
• Skill development : Help students acquire essential skills like resume writing, interview techniques, and effective job search strategies.
• Networking : Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and educational institutions to create valuable opportunities.
• Event organisation : Coordinate visits from tertiary liaison officers and organise annual careers evenings / expos.

Reporting to the Deputy Principal - Curriculum, you'll be a key part of our Senior Leadership Team's functional relationships.

Conditions of service are in accordance with the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement.

The position is term time only.
