Overview
Cambridge High School (CHS) is a co-educational school, established in 1883, with a roll of approximately 1,800 students. Cambridge is in the heart of the Waikato region and has recently become a focus for elite sport with Cycling, Triathlon, Kayaking and Rowing establishing their New Zealand bases here. Cambridge High School serves the interests of the community incredibly well, meeting the varied academic, trades, cultural and sporting needs of our students. Role
This position is for a permanent, full-time, teacher of hard materials and engineering technology, with the ability to teach automotive – commencing term 1, 2026. We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative technology teacher with expertise in hard materials. The ideal candidate will be confident delivering both Unit and Achievement Standards, with the ability to teach students from Year 9 through to senior levels.

Salary and terms
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position are set by the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals’ actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
