Purpose of Position :
To ensure the ultimate movie-going experience for all patrons of Gold Class.
Represent the Gold Class brand with a positive and attentive service experience.
To ensure all guests are fully aware and able to experience the Gold Class concept – combining Hospitality, F+B and Cinema.
KEY TASK EXPECTED RESULT
Point of Sale - Selling Tickets, Food & Drink
All patrons receive prompt, efficient service with a smile and positive demeanour.
Patrons are charged the correct price and are given correct change.
Patrons are sold the correct ticket for the movie they wish to see.
Where there is doubt about the age of patrons, identification is sighted prior to selling tickets for restricted movies.
This will also apply to the sale of alcohol.
All voucher exchanges are recorded on the computer.
There is zero variance in the till balance at the end of each shift, or there is an adequate explanation for a positive or negative variance (unders or overs).
Wastages and breakages are minimal but when they occur, they are correctly recorded.
Where "runner" duties are being performed, bar and other stocks are replenished at all times and efficient back up is provided to other POS / Bar staff.
All surfaces and equipment are left scrupulously clean at all times.
Table service is offered whenever possible; guests are seated and all aspects covered prior to film.
All areas fully stocked and ready between sessions
Computer checked regarding deliveries-orders assembled in a timely manner with minimal wastage.
Safety and health of patrons and staff
The evacuation roster is checked at the start of each shift to determine which area(s) the employee is responsible for evacuating in the event of an emergency.
When the duty is allocated, fire checks are undertaken (including the Projection area) at the start of each shift and any faulty lights, blocked exits, or other hazards reported to the Supervisor and recorded in the Fire Book
When the duty is allocated, all egresses are checked at the end of each session and faults reported to the Supervisor.
There is full and conscientious participation in all evacuation drills.
The employee does nothing that will cause or result in injury to the employee or any other person.
Where the employee notices a new hazard, the area is blocked off so that the hazard does not cause harm, and the hazard cleared away or notified to the Supervisor or Manager.
Patron toilet facilities are kept clean and hygienic at all times.
Floor duties- Food and Beverage Service, Cinema duties
The Gold Class Cinema Sales Attendant will ensure all patrons are greeted professionally and with a smile and escorted into the Gold Class Lounge.
Patrons are never made to wait either for food and beverage service, ticketing enquiries or information.
In cinema and lounge food and beverage orders are taken at the table when possible.
On busier sessions, guests are communicated with and given full service at Bar / POS.
Patrons are advised when cinemas are ready, if desired they are escorted to their seats in the cinema from the Gold Class Lounge area.
Food and beverages are served as close as possible to expected delivery times with minimal disturbance.
Cinemas are cleaned quickly and to the highest standard at the end of each movie.
All used cutlery, crockery and glassware are returned to their correct location.
Patron toilets are kept clean and adequately stocked with toilet rolls and soap.
Check after each session.
The foyer, lounge and external environs are kept immaculately clean at all times.
Special Duties
Where allocated, deliveries are checked against the packing slip and moved to their correct storage location.
Food and bar prep are completed quickly with customer health in mind (wash hands / frozen goods etc)
Where allocated, promotional material is handed to patrons attending the movie with which the promotion is associated.
Training logs are updated weekly in the Staff Handbook and regular training in all areas is undertaken.
All food items are prepared with HACCP and Food Handling Requirements.
All equipment, benchtops, fridges, freezers and utensils are properly cleaned and are maintained before, during and after service.
All safety precautions to minimise harm or injuries from kitchen equipment are taken.
All food items are prepared with extreme care and diligence following the SOP manual.
A strong sense of personal hygiene at all times.
Necessary precautions are taken to ensure no wastage or spoilage.
Stock is rotated accordingly, and re-ordering systems are followed.
Food items are prepared to the highest standard to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
Knowledge, experience and skills required :
Education
NCEA mathematics or equivalent
Experience / knowledge
Experience in a customer service-oriented business Food and Beverage service
Specific skills
Cash handling Hospitality training
Hospitality or customer service experience
