Laboratory Technician - Sample Preparation and Registration

Job Description

We currently have entry-level fixed-term full-time roles where the core function is to assist in the daily registration and preparation of samples delivered to our Hamilton site for residues testing.

Fixed term : From 19th February to 30th May 2024

Key tasks include :

• Sample Registration : To receive and register samples without error, and within allowable time & temperature holding time requirementsTo maintain the condition of samples prior to testing, preserving sample integrityTo store and maintain inventory of samples after testing, preserving sample integrity
• Sample Preparation To process and test samples without error, and within allowable time and temperature holding time requirementsTo maintain good lab practice at all times, to ensure the highest quality service to our customersTo maintain a positive, professional and safe working environment, being mindful of the company’s Health and Safety procedures
• The role would involve working a roster that would cover 40 hours a week typically Monday to Friday, and may require to work overtime when required

Qualifications

No laboratory experience required, but would be advantageous

Diploma / Degree in Chemistry, not required, but would be advantageous
