About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Diabetes
Specialist Service as a Maori Diabetes Registered Nurse.
Our team is dedicated
to empowering Maori patients to manage their diabetes and optimise their
health.
This role is a Nursing position with a Maori focus, where Diabetes
nursing experience is essential.
We have 1.0 FTE available which can be full
time or shared as two 0.5 FTE positions.
As a role model you will engage with members of the
Multidisciplinary Team, ensuring effective relationships are developed and
maintained between the community, inpatient services and the NGO sector.
You will contribute to processes, pathways,
policies and procedures to improve outcomes for the Maori population.
You will work collaboratively with
initiatives of care delivery with services and community providers.
You will be comfortable with technology and its use to
support self-management and improve health outcomes.
You will also have or be willing to work
towards the relevant Postgraduate Study to support your clinical expertise with
a view to obtaining a RN prescribing endorsement.
