Nurse Maude, a trusted leader in community health and support services, is seeking a full-time, permanent Management Accountant to join our Christchurch-based Finance team.
This is a pivotal role where your financial acumen will drive performance, support strategic planning, and strengthen operational excellence across the organisation.
You'll partner with business units to deliver high-quality management accounting services, build financial capability, and contribute to long-term sustainability.
From budgeting and forecasting to performance analysis and process improvement, you'll help ensure our financial systems are fit-for-purpose, future-ready, and aligned with our mission to serve the community.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver timely and accurate management accounting services, including month-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Develop financial models to support planning, scenario analysis, and strategic decision-making
Monitor performance and KPIs, providing actionable insights to senior leadership
Partner with operational managers to align financial resources with organisational priorities
Lead initiatives to improve finance processes, reporting, and systems
Support year-end audit processes and contribute to pricing models and funding proposals
Mentor junior staff and build financial capability across the organisation
Champion a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and values-led leadership
Actively uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
You're a proactive and collaborative finance professional with a strong analytical mindset and a knack for turning complex data into clear insights.
To thrive in this role, you will bring :
Experience and Knowledge
CA ANZ or equivalent professional accounting qualification
10+ years' experience in management accounting, ideally in healthcare, aged care, or not-for-profit sectors
Proven success in financial planning, analysis, and process improvement
Experience in multi-service environments with diverse funding streams
Proficiency in financial software and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Excel)
