Job descriptionRegistered Medical Laboratory Scientist with a specialisation in Biochemistry or Haematology. Minimum 7 years experience as a registered scientist, preferably in an automated core laboratory. At least 3 years of supervisory or staff management experience. Proven leadership skills, capable of inspiring a diverse team. Strong technical expertise and thorough understanding of laboratory protocols, practices, and accreditation requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexible to work Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑7 pm, with occasional after‑hour support.

About the role
Lead the Core Laboratory, overseeing biochemistry, immunology, and haematology services. Work with section leaders to deliver high‑quality, timely diagnostics in a collaborative, open environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coach and mentor team members, providing technical advice, training, and education.
- Organise and prioritise workflow to meet organisational and client requirements efficiently.
- Maintain high laboratory standards and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Foster an open, collaborative, supportive work environment.
