About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician / Trainee, you will support and provide a safe, accurate and timely medication management service to staff and patients of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora hospitals in Te Tai Tokerau.
Regular tasks include :
Provision of a dispensary and medication supply service within both the hospital dispensary and cancer and blood serviceService development and quality improvement workSupporting the service with general clerical duties including filing and data entryClick here to view the position description.
About the Team / Service / Location
We currently have an opportunity for a permanent qualified Level 5 Pharmacy Technician or Trainee Pharmacy Technician to join our team.
You will work alongside a dynamic and supportive team, with an interesting and wide variety of work to keep you engaged and motivated.
This role is based in Whangarei Hospital, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, plus regular participation in our Saturday and statutory holiday roster.

About you
As a Pharmacy Technician or Trainee Pharmacy Technician, you will have an ability to receive and act upon instructions with a high degree of accuracy and quality.
You should also have proven written and verbal communication skills and be able to work flexibly and unsupervised within clear guidelines.
Holder of a National Certificate in Pharmacy (Technician) Level 5 or is enrolled and working towards this qualification (Trainee Pharmacy Technician)NCEA Education Level 2Experience in being part of a team environment and a key contributor to a successful teamFull New Zealand Drivers LicencePhysically fitCandidates that have sound computer skills, previous pharmacy experience or knowledge and experience of hospital pharmacy are desired.Working at Health New Zealand
