This 0.6 FTE role is based in Dunedin.

ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for maintaining the oral health of children in our region, educating children and their families on oral health and the prevention of dental disease.
You will recognise, diagnose and treat oral abnormalities and disease within your scope of practice.You will work alongside a Dental Assistant as part of a supportive and friendly team who is committed to delivering quality health services for our tamariki.You will need to have the flexibility to be able to cover occasional rostered afternoon shifts.
You may also need to work in other clinics throughout the region, and on occasion this may require overnight stays.New graduates would be considered for this role but would need to be available to be mentored at a Dunedin clinic.Qualificationscurrent registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand as an Oral Health Therapist / Dental Therapisttwo or more years work experience as an Oral Health Therapista current APC or the ability to apply for onea full, clean New Zealand driver's licence.Salary and working termsSalary rangeThis role belongs to the Te Whatu Ora and PSA Allied, Public Health, Scientific & Technical CA (2023-2025) and falls between Step 1 ($77,087) to Step 7 ($107,600) p.a. pro-rata.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
