Job Description

By integrating modern engineering approaches and fostering a culture of constant innovation, our Enterprise Technology & Software Engineering team connects and builds the technology tools that help the Ampol Group work smarter, faster, and more efficiently; that not only support current needs but also scale effortlessly for future growth.

As a Solutions Architect, you’ll help shape how Ampol designs and delivers modern, connected solutions across our technology landscape. With a focus on Azure and integration architecture you’ll create scalable, sustainable designs that enable the business to move faster and smarter. You’ll contribute to the evolution of our architecture practice by defining patterns and standards, guiding engineering teams, and fostering collaboration across technology and business. Leadership through influence, you’ll help uplift capability, drive innovation, and ensure solutions are secure, resilient, and reliable.

You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Contribute to the integration strategy from high level design down to the code
• Produce, manage and maintain design artifacts (diagrams, explanations)
• Promote a security‑first approach to solution design and architecture
• Propose solutions designed for resilience, performance and supportability
• Ensure we make best use of our chosen technology platforms : look for opportunities to continuously improve and refactor our solutions and integrations
• Own problems end to end – from discovery, high level design and scope through to working with engineering teams during implementation
• Provide support and guidance to project / delivery leads during project delivery
• Participate in peer reviews of designs and built solutions

What we can offer you

The base salary range for this role is $160k to $170k per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
