We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled teacher of diverse learning to join our dedicated team starting in term 1, 2026. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students with a range of learning needs, confident in developing and implementing literacy and numeracy programmes, and committed to fostering inclusive and differentiated teaching practices across Y9–13.
All teaching staff at Whanganui Collegiate are expected to play an active role in the wider life of the school, including co‑curricular involvement, and to support our Anglican special character. This role will suit a collaborative and values‑driven educator with a genuine passion for enabling every student to thrive.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement 2022–2025. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals’ actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
