Casual Retail Assistant

Overview

Join Bargain Chemist, a 100% Kiwi-owned and operated retailer delivering affordable healthcare and beauty across Aotearoa.

Since 2018 we've grown with new locations in 2025.

We're looking for casual staff to cover gaps in our Porirua team during the busy summer months and ongoing.

Role

As a casual you will work as and when required.

You must have availability during the week as well as weekends and public holidays and be able to work a late shift (up to 8pm) when rostered.

Each shift is usually between 3.5 hours and 8 hours.

Skills and experience

Retail / customer service experience is an absolute must.

A professional attitude and effective communication skills.

Experience in Pharmacy / health products or fragrance / cosmetics is preferred but not essential.

Merchandising experience is preferred but not essential.

A desire to learn and develop your skills.

Efficient with attention to detail.

A great team player.
