About the Role
As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Bowel Screening Programme in achieving a high standard of delivery to Te Tai Tokerau and in meeting specific key performance indicators set against the NBSP Quality Standards while continually striving for equitable outcomes for priority populations.
Key responsibilities include :
Maintaining the Bowel Screening Service Delivery Plan and standard operation proceduresMaintain key relationships with Regional and National people within the National Bowel Screening ProgramRegular review of the communication plan, including all communications to primary care and consumers, whanau and community awareness activitiesMonitoring performance and liaising with relevant district services including histopathology, radiology, gastroenterology and surgery ensure on-going service delivery meets the Interim National Quality StandardsClick here to view the position description.

The Bowel Screening Team in Te Tai Tokerau is a small but passionate group of dedicated professionals committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our Northland communities.
Working collaboratively across the region, the team provides bowel screening services to people throughout Te Tai Tokerau, ensuring equitable access and high-quality care.
Strongly connected both regionally and nationally to the National Bowel Screening Programme, the team contributes to a coordinated, consistent approach to early detection and prevention of bowel cancer.
With a shared focus on community engagement, education, and support, the Te Tai Tokerau Bowel Screening Team plays a vital role in helping whanau across Northland live longer, healthier lives.

About you
As a Programme Manager - Bowel Screening Programme you will have experience managing people, bringing together a team and liaising with different healthcare professional groups.
To be successful in this role you be able to effectively communicate and develop relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
Relevant tertiary qualification likely to be a qualified Health ProfessionalPost graduate qualification in a specialty areaA minimum of 2-3 years experience working in public health, community health or primary care settingManagement and leadership experienceExtensive knowledge and experience of a health service environmentWhilst not essential, candidates that have a management qualification, previous experience working with screening programmes and / or demonstrated experience in strategic health care leadership and planning are desired.
