Nelson Marlborough is looking for a Specialist Anaesthetistto join our team. You will join a team of nineteen experienced andsupportive SMO colleagues and one ANZCA trainee. You will beworking within a secondary care setting participating in the anaestheticroster, covering : planned care and acute theatre sessions, anaesthesia after-hourson call support, anaesthetic pre-assesment clinics and working as the duty anaesthetist. In this role you will provide support to other departments including : obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics,general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, dental, mentalhealth and the emergency department. Our department also provides anaesthesiafor visiting subspecialty surgeons in paediatric surgery, paediatricorthopaedic surgery, plastics and maxillofacial surgery.

We are looking for a specialist who is ready to bring their skillsand experience to a smaller provincial hospital and enjoy the lifestyle thatthis affords. You will be vocationally registered with the NZ Medical Counciland hold Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists(FANZCA), or equivalent, or be eligible for the same. Postgraduate fellowshiptraining is desirable.

The salary for this position will be as per the current seniormedical and dental officer collective agreement dependent on skills, experienceand gaining full vocational registration in NZ. You will also have access to upto 10 days CME Leave and an allowance to put towards your continued medicaleducation.
