Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are seeking a UoA Online Portfolio / Product Manager to manage and drive the performance of one of UoA Online's three portfolios, which consists of online and hybrid postgraduate degrees, programmes, micro-credentials, online courses and other online learning products.
The Portfolio / Product Manager plays a key strategic role in shaping the University's online offering.
They work in close partnership with faculties and academic leaders, bringing deep insight into online learning markets and the University's capabilities to co-design, develop, and take to market a compelling and competitive portfolio and product roadmap.
This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, from identifying market opportunities and co-creating high-quality programmes with leading academics, through to enabling world-class online learning experience, ensuring launch readiness, and overseeing ongoing product operations.
Responsibilities
Product Management, Strategy & Planning - Apply strong product management expertise to translate UoA Online's growth strategy into a product roadmap / portfolio pipeline and develop business cases with leading subject matter experts for new online products (master's degrees, micro-credentials or online courses) and / or enhancements to deliver growth.
Evaluate new product ideas and contribute to high-level go-to-market strategies and compelling value propositions.
Stakeholder and Relationship Management - develop and maintaining strong collegial relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including partnering with academic staff, Faculties and central service divisions, ensuring alignment and effective communication of services, strategies, and plans.
Operational Management - Responsible for the cross-functional management of the UoA Online Portfolio of offerings, through the management of multiple streams of activity necessary to continually launch new programme offerings.
Continuous Improvement - Incorporate continuous improvement objectives into development plans and annual goals, actively undertaking projects for the advancement of UoA Online.
Financial Management - Responsible for the financial viability assessment and financial management of the learning design (including media production) costs associated with the UoA Online Portfolio and any associated projects.

Please note this is a full-time (37.5 hours / week) position on a fixed-term contract for 12 months with a salary range of $103,601 - $119,500 per annum, depending on skills & experience.
