Community Support Workers

Part-time hours available (work includes sleepover and weekend hours).

CCS Disability Action is the largest pan-disability support and advocacy organisation in New Zealand.

We have been working with disabled people / whanau haua and their families since

• and are at the forefront of service provision, advocacy and information sharing New Zealand-wide.

We are looking for Community Support Workers to work with disabled children and young people we support in Whangarei, both in the community and at our Children's Respite House Te Whare Taonga.

The support that you will be required to provide will vary.

Some of the work will be physical.

About you :

We would love to hear from you if :

You have a passion for enabling others to lead good lives.

Flexibility in the hours you can work.

You have a clean full driver's license.

A minimum of 1 year's experience working alongside Children and Youth would be an advantage for our respite service.

Experience providing one-to-one support in the community is preferred but not essential.

You have a Health Care Assistant Qualification or a Level 2 or 3 equivalent, or experience working in the Disability sector, or a willingness to undertake training.
