Te Turanga | The role :

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Group Financial Reporting team.

• Deliver accurate and timely financial information for the ASB Group, providing detailed analytics and insightful commentary that reflect reporting requirements, business drivers, and market conditions.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across ASB, CBA, external auditors, and regulators to ensure compliance with financial reporting obligations.
• Support the execution of the Financial Information and Tax strategy, ensuring effective controls and agile responses to evolving customer and regulatory needs.
• Provide targeted support to senior leadership and the GM, Financial Information and Tax, for critical business-as-usual (BAU) and non-BAU requests.
• Produce high-quality financial reports that offer actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
• Maintain a robust control environment, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Drive successful delivery of finance initiatives and projects, aligning with strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Foster strong relationships across internal teams and external partners to enhance reporting quality and efficiency.
• Contribute to a high performing, engaged team culture recognised for excellence and continuous improvement.
