About the Role

This role is central to delivering high-quality financial reporting, advice, and accountability. You’ll lead processes for year-end reporting, Select Committee, Parliamentary Questions and OIA responses, and manage external audit processes. You’ll also provide technical financial accounting advice and help shape financial policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Help maintain effective internal financial controls.
• Lead financial and performance reporting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP, Treasury instructions, and relevant legislation.
• Respond to OIA requests, Select Committee questions, and WPQs.
• Provide PBE IPSAS advice and support decision-making with financial accounting insights.
• Maintain and improve financial policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including Treasury and auditors.
