Tenei turanga - About the Role
We're seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer to join our Senior Leadership Team and drive strategic financial leadership across our Ministry.
This is a pivotal role reporting to the Deputy Secretary, Corporate and Digital Shared Services.
You'll support the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team in managing the Ministry's financial sustainability while embedding strategic financial management strategies, frameworks and mindsets that enable MBIE to achieve its goals.
Leading a finance team of around 80 kaimahi, you will build a proactive, high engaged culture that delivers exceptional service and value.
You'll bring financial leadership and commercial acumen to influence business groups towards enhanced financial planning, performance and risk management, actively contributing to MBIE's operating model, enterprise strategy and plans.
Ko wai koe | About you
Senior CFO experience in a large, complex organisation, with a CA qualification.
A track record of innovation and business smarts that has made a tangible difference.
Excellence in change leadership, particularly in evolving organisational contexts.
Demonstrated success in building trust with key stakeholders, colleagues and Boards and / or Ministers.
Commercial acumen and ability to work collaboratively as part of a leadership team.
Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and supporting Maori / Crown relationships.
