Job Description
As an Apprentice - Valve Technician at SGS IVE, based in Hamilton, you will learn from the experienced team and develop the skills necessary to become a qualified Valve Technician.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent school leaver, with a passion for industrial engineering to gain the required skills and competence to gain a Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Level 4).
What you'll be doing
- Learn all aspects of the valve overhaul and repair work undertaken by SGS-IVE including work on customer’s sites
- Carry out valve refurbishments as required under appropriate supervision
- Undertake training and customer inductions to enable you to work at SGS-IVE’s customer’s sites
- Clean and maintain SGS-IVE spaces and machinery
- Undertake training and testing as specified by the Workshop Supervisor or Branch Manager
