About the Role
We are seeking Psychiatrists to join our well-established and comprehensive mental health and addiction services in Northland.
These roles include a mix of new and existing positions, and we welcome expressions of interest across a range of subspecialties
Existing specialties include :
Infant Child and Adolescent Mental Health
Early Intervention in Psychosis
Maternal and Infant Mental Health
Community Assessment & Treatment Team (CATT) and Home-Based Treatment (HBT)
Intensive Community Treatment
Community Adult Mental Health
Alcohol and Other Drugs Service
Regional Dual Disability Service
Psychiatry of the Older Persons
Our new, purpose-built facility—
Manaia House
—has recently opened in Whangarei, bringing together all community mental health and addiction services in one location.
With 75 consultation rooms and space for more than 250 staff, the building supports team collaboration and high-quality care delivery.
Ground Floor : Services for Adults and Older People
Middle Floor : Services for Infants Children and Adolescent
Top Floor : Offices and shared staff spaces

About you
To be considered you must have or be eligible for specialist (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in a Psychiatry Vocational scope of practice.
If you are currently overseas / not yet registered, we can assist you with the application process to obtain MCNZ registration.
