Location : Christchurch City, Canterbury Job type : Permanent Approximate pay : $70K - $90K annually

Description

What is the position? A machinist based role that is a mixture of machining work and general service work. Based in the Christchurch workshop and reporting to the Service Manager.

What skills and qualifications do you need?

  • Proven, significant experience with the manual lathe and milling.
  • The relevant trade qualification
  • Welding experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with hydraulics is a big advantage

What kind of personality traits do you need?

  • A strong mechanical mindset
  • The ability to work well both independently and with others.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in your work
  • Be able to complete work in a timely manner

  • Responsibility of a job from start to finish
  • Cylinder repairs and manufacture
  • Manufacture of one off components
  • General service and repair work
  • Power pack manufacture
