Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity

This is a chance to lead the Rural Customer Delivery team and play a key role in Chorus’ copper retirement retirement strategy by 2030. You will be responsible for the full delivery of projects that align with our Fibre Frontier goals.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Contributing to the Fibre Frontier valuestream to drive Chorus’ rural strategy and share accountability for overall success.
  • Leading the end-to-end project delivery process, ensuring successful outcomes by managing risks and developing mitigation plans.
  • Driving clear communication on project requirements, progress, and priorities with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Leading a cross-functional team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and agility.
  • Managing third-party partnerships, including alternative technology providers, to support project delivery.
  • Collaborating with Finance to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and spend management.
  • Overseeing project planning, resourcing, scheduling, and ensuring all regulatory and contractual obligations are met.

We’re looking for someone with :

  • Strong experience working within cross-functional teams and collaborating across departments.
  • A passion for leadership with a proven ability to guide, develop, and inspire teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proven experience as a Project or Programme Manager, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience in managing budgets, tracking project costs, and addressing risks to ensure project success.
  • A customer-centric approach to project delivery, engaging all stakeholders throughout the process.
