Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity

This is a chance to lead the Rural Customer Delivery team and play a key role in Chorus’ copper retirement retirement strategy by 2030. You will be responsible for the full delivery of projects that align with our Fibre Frontier goals.

Key responsibilities include :

Contributing to the Fibre Frontier valuestream to drive Chorus’ rural strategy and share accountability for overall success.
Leading the end-to-end project delivery process, ensuring successful outcomes by managing risks and developing mitigation plans.
Driving clear communication on project requirements, progress, and priorities with internal teams and stakeholders.
Leading a cross-functional team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and agility.
Managing third-party partnerships, including alternative technology providers, to support project delivery.
Collaborating with Finance to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and spend management.
Overseeing project planning, resourcing, scheduling, and ensuring all regulatory and contractual obligations are met.

We’re looking for someone with :

Strong experience working within cross-functional teams and collaborating across departments.

A passion for leadership with a proven ability to guide, develop, and inspire teams.

Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Proven experience as a Project or Programme Manager, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Experience in managing budgets, tracking project costs, and addressing risks to ensure project success.

A customer-centric approach to project delivery, engaging all stakeholders throughout the process.
