We are looking for a passionate, inspiring, relational leader with vision and capacity to further grow our community-based preschool.
This is a full time (35 hour) per week position.
Ako Tahi is a spacious, recently refurnished facility in the heart of suburban Christchurch.
We are licensed for 40 children, including 10 under 2's.
We are looking for a centre manager who is :
fully NZ Qualified and Registered with leadership experience.
passionate about development of tamariki.
well organized and have good knowledge of requirements for Ministry of Education, Teachers Council, Education Review office etc. maintain health and safety standards.
a NZ Citizen with permanent residency.
skilled at leading a qualified and supportive team of four (currently), maintaining a positive environment for staff, tamariki and whanau.
can implement and maintain centre philosophy.
a great communicator.
up to date with curriculum requirements and implementation.
supportive of staff as they grow in their practice within Our Code, Our Standards along with Professional Growth Cycles.
an advocate for Tamariki, giving them a strong sense of belonging and wellbeing.
Our staff are guaranteed five hours non-contact time per week, and we honour their need for break times.
Our staff are paid at parity (steps 1-6) of NZ pay parity rates.
The Centre runs for Tamariki 8.45am-2.45pm.
Ako Tahi Preschool is owned by the Urban Community Trust, which is a charitable Trust operating from C3 Church Christchurch, the Centre Manager will be accountable to the Trustees of the Urban Community Trust.
