OverviewZenno is pioneering scalable technology for sustainable space exploration.
We're developing the world's most powerful and efficient magnetic actuators using superconducting electromagnets. We maintain a high launch cadence-flying at least one mission per year and our long-term vision is a future where intelligent machines operate autonomously in space, free from reliance on Earth-based resources. We're now expanding our technology to enable fully autonomous magnetic close-proximity operations and formation flight, unlocking capabilities that have never been possible before. The roleWe are seeking driven and innovative engineers to solve complex, hands-on R&D problems using your software and firmware engineering skills.
You'll contribute across the development process, from simulation and embedded firmware to integration with flight hardware.
This is a generalist role, and your work will set the standard for how we build software at Zenno. What You'll DoBuild tools and simulation frameworks for complex spacecraft operations, including AI / ML-based controlDevelop firmware for flight hardware, with clean documentation and version controlApply simulation and design to improve our Z01 technology and enable new mission architecturesWork directly with the engineering team to bring designs to life in testbeds and flight hardwareSupport code reviews, debugging, and test automation for your own and others' workAdapt and contribute to other areas of prototype development and experimental testingYou'll need to be resourceful, collaborative, and unafraid to try new things. What We're Looking ForA degree or a demonstrable knowledge set equivalent to a degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or a related fieldExperience in software, firmware, and hardware-oriented developmentComfortable owning the full development cycle : requirements, implementation, testing, and supportFamiliarity with physical simulation techniques and relevant toolkitsProgramming experience in C (required), and C++ (preferred); other languages also valuedBonus : familiarity with the space environment and how it affects software and embedded systemsOur CultureWe're a tight, focused startup where you'll have real ownership and impact.
You'll be the expert in your domain, working closely with a collaborative and mission-driven team.If you want to help build a radically different future in space, one powered by superconductors and driven by autonomy, we'd love to hear from you.
