About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a registered midwife in a rural primary birthing facility in Thames.

As part of our team you will be able to develop and extend your expertise in pregnancy assessment, normal labour, birthing and postnatal care as well as :

Midwifery led triage

Acute assessment skills

Decision making

Neonatal resuscitation and life support

BFHI support and education

Midwifery educators and Midwifery Clinical coaches can also support you with mandatory education needs, career progression, Quality and Leadership Programme preparation and gaining post graduate qualifications.

About you

Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role :

Must have New Zealand registration as a midwife, and a current practising certificate with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand (or in the process of obtaining your registration / APC).

Excellent communication skills and the ability to easily build rapport with people.

Passionate about midwifery and have a real desire to provide the best care possible.

Have an understanding of Cultural Safety.
