Contract Senior Java Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design, discuss and implement technical solutions

Build, test and deploy Java Spring Boot REST APIs

Identify and implement infrastructure automation opportunities

Configure automation tools and deployment pipelines

Deploy and maintain CI / CD environments

Define testing requirements for infrastructure builds

Support teams in integrating CI / CD into their testing strategies

Strong experience with REST APIs using Java Spring Boot

Hands-on AWS experience

Proven ability creating and maintaining CI / CD pipelines

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace)

SQL experience (preferably PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server)

Unit testing in Java

DevOps mindset with build and run responsibility

Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools

REST API security implementation

MongoDB experience

Automated integration and system-level testing

Requirements

Relevant tertiary qualification OR 5+ years of relevant industry experience
