Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology is looking for an Academic Staff Member to join our passionate Animal Care Team.
In this role, you'll teach and support students across our Animal Care programmes, contribute to curriculum development, and help shape the next generation of animal care professionals.
Join a collaborative faculty committed to delivering high-quality vocational education that meets industry needs and supports student success.
Delivery across our suite of programmes – mainly on the Level 4 NZ Certificate in Animal Management but also assisting on the Level 3 NZ Certificate in Animal Care, and potentially on the Level 6 NZ Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.
Providing leadership in student management
Developing, planning and implementing student assessment, courses and resource material
Monitoring student progress and results and providing timely and accurate advice and support as required
Planning and timetabling for the programme as well as assisting with recruitment
Brief overview of the type of person that will be successful in this role.
You bring
Minimum of a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing or appropriate equivalent
At least 5+ years' work experience in a relevant field
Importantly you will be able to demonstrate strong alignment and commitment to our Toi Ohomai Values.
