  • About the role

    As Facility Manager, you'll be responsible for the daily operations and strategic development of our new state of the art facility, Te Ngaengae. You'll drive performance, lead high-performing teams, ensure compliance with industry standards, and deliver a world-class experience to our diverse community.

    Key focus areas :

    • Day-to-day leadership and management of pool and fitness suite operations
    • Resource management, including coaching and development of our staff
    • Maintaining safety, cleanliness and compliance with health and industry standards
    • Supporting community programmes and customer engagement
    • Financial and business planning to support utilisation and revenue growth
    • You'll also have the opportunity to shape new ideas, champion innovation, and influence how we meet the recreation needs of our communities.

      About you

      We're looking for someone who is :

    • An experienced leader - at least five years in an aquatic or recreation facility management role
    • Community focused - with a passion for improving health and wellbeing outcomes
    • Operationally savvy - with sound financial and strategic planning skills
    • Calm under pressure - confident managing complex issues and leading in fast-paced environments
    • A collaborator and communicator - comfortable working with diverse teams, stakeholders and the public
    • You'll also need :

    • A current Swimming Pool Water Treatment Certificate
    • Strong relationship management and team leadership skills
    • Excellent communication and reporting abilities
    • Bonus points for : a tertiary qualification in sport or recreation, lifeguard assessor certification, or fitness industry experience.
