We are seeking a Senior Portfolio Management Advisor to fill a key role for approximately 6 months on a contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced portfolio or programme advisor to step into a dynamic, purpose-driven environment, supporting the successful delivery of strategic projects and programmes.
About the Role
Reporting to the National Enterprise Portfolio Manager, you'll be responsible for providing assurance and enablement across the organisation's enterprise project portfolio.
You'll play a critical role in :
Conducting quality assurance across the project and programme lifecycle
Supporting and advising delivery teams across the organisation
Preparing governance reporting and papers
Ensuring strategic alignment and prioritisation of the portfolio
Championing benefits realisation, lessons learnt, and continuous improvement
Coaching, mentoring and uplifting capability across programme and project teams
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can work independently and collaboratively, with a customer-focused, solutions-oriented approach.
About You
You'll bring a strong background in portfolio, programme, or project management, with a depth of experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
You're comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
You'll Ideally Have
10+ years' experience in programme / project delivery or portfolio assurance
Expertise in portfolio governance, quality assurance, and benefits management
Proven capability mentoring and guiding delivery teams
Experience with Better Business Cases, Investment Confidence Ratings, and P3M3
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A strong understanding of te ao Maori and Treaty obligations (or a commitment to developing this)
Qualifications in PRINCE2, MSP or other recognised methodologies are desirable.
