About the Role
We have a unique opportunity for a Senior Security Advisor to join the Corporate and Shared Services team.
This is a permanent role where you will provide expert risk and operational security advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders, to ensure that our information is kept safe and managed appropriately.
You will collaborate with our Technology, Information Management, and Project teams as well as business owners and key stakeholders.
Your responsibilities include providing guidance and advice to ensure the required processes are followed for certification and accreditation, as well as producing operational reporting and analysis to a high standard.

The specific experience, skills, and qualities that will help you succeed in this role include :
A strong understanding of government security best practices, policies, strategies, and initiatives
Ability to work collaboratively across Treasury
Experience with security engineering and monitoring in the cloud
A proven track record of delivering client-focused service
An understanding of the New Zealand Information Security Manual (NZISM)
Strong experience with security risk assessments and the certification and accreditation (C&A) process
Experience in identifying threats, risks, and security controls that are efficient and effective
A strong client focus
