Registered Nurse – Operating Rooms
Southern Cross North Harbour Hospital is the only private surgical in-patient facility on Auckland's North Shore, featuring 8 state-of-the-art Operating Rooms, a 14-bed Post Anaesthetic Care Unit, a modern day-stay facility, and a 70-bed ward with a specialised 4-bed Intermediate Care Facility.
Our surgical specialties span General Surgery, Gynaecology, Oral & Maxillofacial, Urology, Orthopaedics, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Otolaryngology, and cutting-edge Robotic Surgery.
Beyond the hospital, our North Shore campus offers a comprehensive range of on-site services including endoscopy, cardiology, cancer care, pharmacy, radiology, and sports medicine.
Southern Cross North Harbour Hospital is looking for experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse's to join our Theatre team.
You'll apply advanced clinical knowledge and critical thinking to deliver safe, evidence-based, holistic care.
You'll lead and coordinate care alongside enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants, ensuring high standards of documentation, cultural sensitivity, and patient-centred outcomes.
Beyond the bedside, you'll contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance care delivery and support a collaborative team environment.

This role is a permanent full-time role working four 10 hour shifts however we are open to 0.9 or 0.8 FTE for the right candidate.
Current New Zealand Registered Nurse practising certificate
At least 2 years of operating theatre experience (scrubbing, circulating, and assisting)
Strong foundation in perioperative nursing, with experience in orthopaedics or robotics a bonus
A collaborative spirit and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
Previous experience in private healthcare is an advantage
Commitment to ongoing professional development, ideally enrolled in an NCNZ-approved PDRP
