Lead, mentor and support whilst providing hands on theatre assistance when required.

What you have to do
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the theatre department, ensuring efficient and effective patient care is delivered to the highest standardsProvide leadership and support to the team of registered nurses, including coaching and mentoring to ensure professional developmentDevelop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal patient outcomesManage inventory and equipment to ensure the department has the necessary supplies and equipment required for patient careCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomesMaintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standardsSupport and participate in the continuous professional development of the theatre department staffBe able to scrub in when neededSkills and Experience
Current NZ registration and APC. Candidates will only be considered with these requirements or a CAP course letterAt least 2 years of experience as a registered nurse in a theatre departmentProven leadership and management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well under pressure and manage competing prioritiesExcellent problem-solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standardsIf you are an experienced and motivated nurse looking to take the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
