About the role

St Patrick’s Taumarunui is a multicultural Catholic school in the heart of the King Country. We are seeking a passionate, trained primary school teacher to join our supportive team from the beginning of the 2026 school year. The position will be in our middle or senior school, please state your preference.

We welcome applications from teachers who can use Te Mātaiaho, the new curriculum, to create engaging, well-structured programmes in religious education, reading, writing, and mathematics. Experience with PB4L, the CODE spelling programme and a structured literacy approach would be an advantage.

The successful applicant will be collaborative, reflective, and committed to nurturing our ākonga as faithful, responsible, lifelong learners, while upholding the Special Character of our school.

A willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the school shall be a condition of appointment.
